The family is the first place where human beings' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior schemes, who came to the world as ignorant of almost nothing, are formed. Children, who interact with their environment from the moment they open their eyes to life, internalize the family's culture by observing and experiencing. Almost everything, such as the language spoken in the family, communication style, values, and religious life, is learned by children through imitation. In this regard, when it comes to child education, it would be a right start by looking at the family. Providing religious education for children within the family is essential both for the continuity of culture and meeting people's spiritual needs. Because religion, the subject of education, can answer the most fundamental problems of human beings and the search for meaning. Giving religious education in parallel with the age and religious development of children from birth contributes to the maintenance of cognitive and spiritual growth in a balanced way. Children need to grow up as mentally healthy individuals, both individually and socially. In this context, determining the attitudes and behaviors of families towards religious education towards children will shed light on the issue of religious education in the family. This research aims to reveal the views of academician mothers on the religious education of their children in the family. The study sample consists of volunteers selected from academician mothers working at Sinop University. The interview was used as a data collection tool in the study, and a descriptive analysis technique was used in data analysis.
