Özet
Bu çalismanin amaci, sinif ögretmenlerinin 2005 fen ve teknoloji dersi ögretim programinin yürürlüge girmesiyle kullanilmaya baslanan alternatif ölçme ve degerlendirme tekniklerinde olumlu gördükleri yönler, yasadiklari sorunlar ve sorunlara getirdikleri çözüm önerilerine iliskin görüslerini almaktir. Çalismada nitel arastirma deseni kullanilmistir. Arastirmanin çalisma grubunu, Kocaeli Ili Merkez Ilçesi’nde bulunan üç ilkögretim okulunda görev yapan ögretmenler olusturmaktadir. Veriler, 26 sinif ögretmeni ile açik uçlu sorulardan olusan görüsme formu kullanilarak toplanmistir. Nitel boyutlu veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak belirli kategoriler altinda sayisallastirilmistir. Arastirma sonuçlarina bakildiginda, ögretmenlerin ilkögretim fen ve teknoloji dersi ögretim programini benimsedikleri, ancak programi yeterince tanimamalari nedeniyle uygulamada bazi problemler yasadiklari ortaya çikmistir.
The purpose of this study is to elicit the teachers’ opinions about the positive aspects of alternative assessment methods started to be used with the incorporation of science and technology course into the curriculums of elementary schools, the problems they have experienced and solutions they suggested to these problems. The present study employs qualitative research method. The sampling of the study consists of the teachers working in three elementary schools in Kocaeli central district selected among the universe through purposeful sampling method. The data were collected through interviews conducted with 26 classroom teachers where open-ended questions were used. Qualitative data were subjected to content analysis and then classified under some certain categories. When the results of the study were examined, it was seen that the science and technology teachers adopted the teaching program but some problems emerged in the implementation of the program as they were not familiar enough with the program.
