dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to draw attention to the importance of mountain tourism and sports tourism and in line with the ideas of local and foreign tourists who will come to Agri for mountain tourism and sports tourism, to identify obstacles to the development of regional tourism, and also to attract attention and raise awareness. In the study, document analysis method and review compilation methods were used. In the research, various scientific data and publications were scanned, the sources were reviewed, the research subjects were classified, and the statistical data of some official institutions were used. During the literature review, mountaineering and sports tourism relations were reviewed. The biggest problem in Agri Dagi is the problem of shelter. Even in August, storms, snow and rain fall instantly and the weather conditions drop to minus degrees at night, which leaves people in a very difficult situation. A facility on the mountain will enable more tourists to come to the region by allowing suitable climbs in tourism. The best time to climb the mountain is August and September. Tourism can be considered as a chance for societies living in high mountain areas and having insufficient economic resources. The development and diversification of tourism in our country and the fact that the population living in mountainous regions provide additional income from tourism can be considered as a positive development.
