dc.description.abstractThis study deals with the structure of populations of Crustacea in Izmir Bay, Aegean Sea, Turkey. Sampling was performed seasonally at 100 stations in three subsections of Izmir Bay in 1995 and 1996, in order to determine the distribution of benthic crustaceans. A total of 160 species, represented by 3818 individuals, and belonging to 8 taxonomic groups was identified, of which amphipods accounted for almost 58% of the total number of species.
