Unlocking the future: The role of digital learning materials in fostering 21st-century skills among university students

dc.description.abstractIn this study, the aim is to determine the effect of the digital learning material development process on university students' 21st-century competencies. Eightyfive university students voluntarily participated in the study, and the research was designed using a sequential exploratory design. Quantitative data were collected through achievement tests, while qualitative data were gathered using an interview form. Achievement tests were administered before and after an eight-week training program, and interviews were conducted at the end of the training sessions. Students were given various tasks during the training process. The obtained quantitative data were subjected to cluster analysis, while the qualitative data underwent content analysis. As a result of the cluster analysis, the group with a low achievement score from the two divided groups reported the development of 21st-century competencies in 12 themes, while the group with a high achievement score reported the development in 15 themes. © 2024, IGI Global.
