This paper delves into the essential components of disaster preparedness, emphasizing the critical roles of human resource management and technological use. Drawing upon an extensive array of scholarly sources, it thoroughly examines key aspects, including education and awareness, emergency planning, drills and practices, communication strategies, cooperation and solidarity, resilience, and psychosocial support in disaster preparedness efforts. Furthermore, it elucidates the intricate interplay between human resource management and technology in disaster response, highlighting the pivotal contributions of technological innovations such as warning systems, satellite imaging, communication networks, and social media to improve disaster management capabilities.
