dc.description.abstractRemovalof methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solution onto iron oxide coated zeolite(ICZ) and potassium permanganate coated zeolite (MCZ) were investigated. Theadsorbents was characterized using EDX and SEM images. The effect of variousparameters such as initial dye concentration, contact time, adsorbent dose andinitial solution pH was examined. The adsorption studies include bothequilibrium adsorption isotherms and kinetics. Several isotherm models wereinvestigated and the adsorption isotherm data were best represented by theLangmuir isotherm model and Langmuir monolayer adsorption capacities of ICZ andMCZ were 12,6 mg g-1, 14,3 mg g-1 , respectively. The kinetic data were welldescribed by the pseudo-first order kinetic model. The mechanism of theadsorption process was determined from the intraparticle diffusion model.
dc.description.abstractBu çalismadasulu çözeltiden potasyum permanganat kapli zeolit (PMKZ) ve demir oksit kaplizeolit (DKZ) kullanarak metil oranjin adsorpsiyonla giderimi arastirilmistir.Adsorbentler SEM ve EDX ile karakterize edilmistir. Temas süresi, adsorbandozu, baslangiç pH ve baslangiç kirletici konsantrasyonu gibi parametrelerinetkileri incelenmis ve belirlenen optimum kosullarda denge ve kinetikçalismalar yapilmistir. MO molekülleri DKZ ve PMKZ tarafindan düsük pH’dabasarili bir sekilde adsorplanmistir. Adsorpsiyon kinetikleri yalanci-birinciderece, yalanci-ikinci derece, intrapartiküler difüzyon ve Elovich kinetikmodelleri ile test edilmistir. Denge verileri Langmuir, Freundlich ve Temkinizotherm modellerinde degerlendirilmistir. Her iki adsorban için deadsorpsiyonun Langmuir izotherm modeli ile uyumlu oldugu görülmüstür. MaksimumLangmuir adsorpsiyon kapasitesi DKZ için 12,6 mg g-1, PMKZ için 14,3  mg g-1 olarak bulunmustur. Reaksiyonkinetikleri yalanci- birinci derece reaksiyon kinetigi ile uyum göstermistir.
