Ögedey Kağan'ın Herât Emîri Uygur Türk'ü Harlıg
Özet
Moğol istilası birçok şehri harap etti. Harap edilen şehirlerden birisi de Herât'tır. Moğol istilasıyla harap olan şehir, Ögedey Kağan zamanında yeniden imar edilmeye başlandı. Buraya göç özendirildi. Çeşitli bölgelerden dokuma ustaları getirildi. Bu dönemin önemli emîrlerinden birisi de Harlıg'dır. Harlıg, aslen bir Uygur Türk'ü olup 1239 yılında Herât'a görevlendirildi ve 1259 yılına kadar bu görevde kaldı. Onun döneminde şehirde imar faaliyetleri arttı. Yeni işyerleri açıldı ve tarım gelişti. Eski sulama kanalları tamir edildi ve yenileri yapıldı. Bu dönemde şehir büyüdü. Harlıg ihtiyarlayınca Moğollar tarafından azledildi ve şehrin yönetimi Melik Şemseddîn-i Kert'in eline geçti.
Mongol invasion destroyed many cities. One of the destroyed citieswas Herat. The city which was ruined by the invasion began to berebuilt during the reign of Ogedey Khan. Immigration was encouragedhere. Weaving craftsmen from various regions were brought.One of the important governor of this time was Kharlıg (Harlıg).Kharlıg-originally an Uyghur Turk was commissioned in Herat in1239 and continued his duty till 1259. In his time, social and agriculturalactivities were increased. New businesses were opened andagriculture got improved. Old irrigation channels were repaired, andnew ones were built. The city enlarged in this period. Kharlıg wasdismissed when he grew old by the Mongols and the administrationof the city was given to Malik Şams-al-din Kart.
