Öğretmen Adaylarının Medya Okuryazarlığı ile Bilgi Okuryazarlığı Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının eğitim fakültesinde öğrenimleri sürecinde bilgiokuryazarlıklarının ve medya okuryazarlıklarının incelenmesi ve aradaki ilişkinin belirlenmesiamaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nicel bir çalışma olarak tasarlanmış ve korelasyonel bir araştırma olarakdesenlenmiştir. Bu araştırmada 2018 - 2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Ege Üniversitesi ve SinopÜniversitesi Eğitim Fakülteleri’nin sınıf, okulöncesi ve sosyal bilgiler öğretmenliği ana bilimdallarında öğrenim gören üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinden toplam 284 kişiye ulaşılmıştır.Araştırmanın amacına ulaşabilmek için Adıgüzel (2011) tarafından geliştirilen "Bilgi OkuryazarlığıÖlçeği" ve Korkmaz ve Yeşil (2011) tarafından geliştirilen "Medya ve Televizyon OkuryazarlığıÖlçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler ışığında belirlenen değişkenlerin öğretmenadaylarının bilgi ve medya okuryazarlık düzeyleri üzerinde farklı noktalarda anlamlı farklaroluşturduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca her iki açıdan da öğretmen adaylarının bilgi ve medya okuryazarlıkdüzeylerini ölçen maddelerin ortalamaları incelenmiş ve sıklık ve katılma düzeyleri belirlenmiştir.Son olarak iki bağımlı değişken arasında korelasyon analizi gerçekleştirilmiş ve orta, yüksekdüzeylerde pozitif yönlü ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir.
The goal of this article is to investigate the information literacy and media literacy of pre-serviceteachers studying at the faculty of education and to determine the relationship between them. Thestudy was designed as a quantitative study and a correlation survey model was used. In this study, atotal of 284 people from the junior and senior class students attending Primary Teaching, PreschoolTeaching and Social Studies Education departments in the education faculties at Ege University andSinop University were reached out in the 2018 - 2019 academic year. To achieve the overall purpose ofthe research, the "Information Literacy Scale" developed by Adıgüzel (2011) and the "Media andTelevision Literacy Scale" developed by Korkmaz and Yesil (2011) were used. In the light of the dataobtained in the research, it was seen that the determined variables yielded statistically significantdifferences in the information and media literacy of the pre-service teachers. In addition, the averagesof the items measuring both information and media literacy levels were investigated, and thefrequency and the participation levels were determined. In conclusion, the correlation analysis wasperformed between two dependent variables and moderate and high-level positive relations weredetermined.
