Sosyal bilgiler dersi bağlamında destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarına ilişkin yönetici, öğretmen, öğrenci ve veli görüşleri Samsun ili örneği

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı örgün ve yaygın eğitimi destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarında karşılaşılan sorunlar ve çözüm önerilerini Sosyal Bilgiler dersi bağlamında ortaya koymaktır. DYK (Destekleme ve Yetiştirme Kursları)'nin paydaşları olan yöneticiler, öğretmenler, öğrenciler ve velilerin görüşleri ile DYK'de karşılaşılan sorunlar ve çözüm önerilerini ortaya konmak istenmektedir. Nitel araştırma yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilen araştırmada durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Samsun ili İlkadım ilçesindeki destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarında görev yapan 10 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeni, kurslara katılım sağlayan 10 öğrenci, öğrencisi kurslara katılım sağlayan 10 öğrenci velisi ve kurslarda görevli olan 10 yönetici oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmış ve toplanan veriler betimsel ve içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen verilere göre kurslarda en fazla karşılaşılan sorunlar; devamsızlık, kurs açma ve kapatma işlemlerinde sıkıntıların yaşanması, ek ders ücretlerinin düşük olması, resmi tatillerde ücretlerin kesilmesi, ücretli öğretmenlerin sigortasının düşük olması, kaynak kitap ve doküman eksikliği, hizmetli sıkıntısı, paydaşlar arasındaki iletişimsizlik, kursların YKS (Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı) ve LGS (Liselere Geçiş Sınavı)'na kadar devam etmemesi şeklindedir. Çalışmada DYK'nin öğrencilerin okul derslerine, YKS ve LGS gibi öğretimin bir üst kademesine geçiş için yapılan sınavlarda destek olduğu, öğretmenlere maddi ve mesleki gelişim açısından katkı sağladığı, maddi durumu iyi olmayan öğrencilerinde okul derslerine takviye alabilmesi açısından eğitimde fırsat eşitliği sağlaması gibi olumlu katkılarının olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler ve paydaşların görüşlerine göre DYK'nin daha verimli ve aktif bir şekilde çalışması için; öğrencilerin devamlılığı sağlanmalı, seviye grupları oluşturulmalı, kaynak eksikliği giderilmeli, velilerden düşük miktarda ücret talep edilmeli, okul öğretmenleri dışında kurs öğretmenleri seçilmeli, kurs müfredatı yeniden düzenlenmeli, hizmetli sıkıntısı çözülmeli, kursların fiziki şartları iyileştirilmeli kurs başvuru ve ders seçim işlemleri kolaylaştırılmalı, öğretmenlerin özlük hakları ve çalışma koşulları iyileştirilmelidir.

The aim of this research is to reveal the problems and solution suggestions encountered in the formal and non-formal education STC (Support and Training Courses) affiliated to the Ministry of National Education within the scope of the Social Studies Course. It is aimed to reveal the opinions of administrators, teachers, students and parents, who are the stakeholders of STC, as well as the problems encountered in STC and their solution suggestions. The case study design was used in the research conducted with the qualitative research method. The study group of the research will consist of 10 Social Studies teachers working in Support and Training Courses in İlkadım district of Samsun province in the 2023-2024 academic year, 10 students participating in the courses, 10 parents whose students are participating in the courses and 10 administrators working in the courses. The data of the research were collected by semi-structured interview technique and the collected data were subjected to descriptive and content analysis. According to the data obtained in the research, the most common problems in the courses are; Absenteeism, difficulties in opening and closing courses, low additional course fees, deduction of wages during public holidays, low insurance of paid teachers, lack of reference books and documents, shortage of servant, lack of communication between stakeholders, courses not continuing until YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) and LGS (High School Transition Exam). In the study, STC has been revealed that it has positive contributions such as supporting students in school courses and exams such as YKS and LGS for transition to the next level of education, contributing to teachers in terms of financial and professional development, and providing equal opportunities in education for students who are not in a good financial situation to receive reinforcement in school courses. According to the data obtained from the study and the opinions of the stakeholders, for STC to work more efficiently and actively; The attendance of students should be ensured, level groups should be created, the lack of resources should be eliminated, low fees should be requested from parents, course teachers should be selected other than school teachers, the course curriculum should be rearranged, the shortage of servants should be solved, the physical conditions of the courses should be improved, course application and course selection procedures should be facilitated, teachers' personal rights and working conditions should be improved.
