WEB 2.0 araçlarinin sosyal bilgiler dersinde cografya ögretimine etkisi: ögrenci basarisi ve görüslerinin incelenmesi

Özet
Günümüzde hizla ilerleyen teknolojik gelismeler, toplumlarin dünya genelindeki olaylarla daha siki etkilesim içinde olmasini saglamaktadir. Bu teknolojik degisimler, insanlarin hayat tarzlarinda egitimden siyasete kadar birçok alanda köklü degisimlere neden olmustur. Arastirmanin amaci, Web 2.0 araçlarinin Sosyal bilgiler dersindeki 'Iklim ve Yasamim' ile 'Haritayi Taniyorum' konularinda ögrenci basarisina etkisini ve ögrenci görüslerini incelemektir. Arastirmanin deney grubu, 2023-2024 egitim-ögretim döneminde Sinop ilinde Millî Egitim Bakanligi’na bagli bir okulda 5. sinifta ögrenim gören 22 ögrenciden; kontrol grubu ise 10’u erkek 15’i kiz olmak üzere 25 kisiden olmak üzere toplamda 47 ögrenciden olusmaktadir. Arastirmada, karma yöntem kullanilmistir. Nicel verileri elde etmek amaciyla Millî Egitim Bakanligi Ölçme, Degerlendirme ve Sinav Hizmetleri Genel Müdürlügü tarafindan hazirlanmis olan kazanim testleri ve fasiküllerindeki sorulardan faydalanilmistir. Bu veriler istatistiksel paket programi (SPSS22) ile analiz edilmistir. Nitel verileri elde etmek için görüsme sorulari hazirlanmis ve odak grup görüsmesi yapilmistir. Elde edilen veriler içerik ve betimsel analiz yöntemleriyle incelenmistir. Arastirma sonucunda deney ve kontrol gruplarinda ögrenci akademik basarisi açisindan istatistiksel olarak anlamli farklilik tespit edilmistir. Deney grubunda yer alan ögrenciler, Web 2.0 araçlariyla islenen dersten keyif aldiklarini, dersi eglenceli bulduklarini, derse olan ilgilerinin arttigini ifade etmislerdir. Ayrica ögrendikleri bilgileri daha uzun süre hatirladiklarini dile getirmislerdir. Bu nedenle, ögretmenlerin derslerini ögrenciler için daha ilgi çekici ve keyifli hale getirebilmeleri için Web 2.0 araçlarini aktif bir sekilde kullanmalari önerilmektedir.
Today, rapidly advancing technological developments enable societies to interact more closely with events around the world. These technological changes have led to radical changes in people's lifestyles in many areas, from education to politics. The aim of the research is to investigate the effect of Web 2.0 tools on students' performance and views on the topics 'Climate and my life' and 'I know the map' in the social studies course. The experimental group of the research consists of 22 students who are studying in 5th grade in a school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Sinop province in the academic year 2023-2024; the control group consists of 25 students, 10 of whom are male and 15 of whom are female, making a total of 47 students. The study used a mixed method. To obtain quantitative data, questions in achievement tests and fascicles prepared by the General Directorate of Measurement, Evaluation and Examination Services of the Ministry of National Education were used. These data were analysed using a statistical package (SPSS22). To obtain qualitative data, interview questions were prepared and focus group interviews were conducted. The data obtained were analysed using content and descriptive analysis methods. Students in the experimental group said that they enjoyed the lesson taught with Web 2.0 tools, that they found the lesson fun and that their interest in the lesson increased. They also stated that they remembered the information for a longer time. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers actively use Web 2.0 tools to make their lessons more interesting and enjoyable for students.
