dc.description.abstractIt is possible to say that primary school teachers have a more important role in the child’s life than all teachers in other levels. For this reason, student teachers who will serve at this level should be trained carefully and by taking into account required qualifications that a primary school teacher, should have. The purpose of this study is to determinate primary school student teachers’ views on the primary school teachers training program. The research was conducted with 94 student teachers, who attended 3rd and 4th class. The data were collected through a 5-point Likert type questionnaire. The data analysis was fulfilled by using the descriptive statistic through a quantitative software (SPSS 18). The main finding of the study is that due to the excess of class size the expected efficiency from practice courses decreases. The student teachers were satisfied with the department they chose, but they did not find enough physical and environmental opportunities provided by the university for them. They also negatively evaluated limited number of teaching staff and those of them teaching outside their expertise area.
dc.description.abstractSinif ögretmenlerinin, çocugun yasaminda, diger bütün seviyedeki ögretmenlere göre çok daha önemli bir role sahip olduklarini söylemek mümkündür. Bu nedenle sinif ögretmeni olarak görev yapacak ögretmenlerin özenle ve bu seviyedeki ögretmende bulunmasi gereken nitelikler göz önünde bulundurularak yetistirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalismanin amaci, sinif ögretmeni adaylarinin sinif ögretmenligi programi (dersler, sinif içi uygulamalar, geribildirimler, ögretim elemani-ögrenci arasi iliskiler vb.) hakkindaki görüslerini ortaya koymaktir. Arastirma, üçüncü ve dördüncü siniflara devam eden 94 ögretmen adayinin katilimiyla gerçeklestirilmistir. Veri toplama araci olarak 5 dereceli Likert tipinde hazirlanmis bir anket kullanilmistir. Verilerin analizi, bilgisayar ortaminda bir nicel analiz programi (SPSS 18) yardimiyla betimsel istatistik kullanilarak gerçeklestirilmistir. Arastirmanin temel bulgusu siniflarin kalabalikligi nedeniyle uygulama derslerinden beklenen verimin düsmesidir. Ögretmen adaylari seçtikleri bölümden memnun olmakla birlikte, üniversitenin onlara saglamis oldugu fiziki ve çevresel imkânlari yeterli bulmamaktadirlar. Ögretim elemanlarinin sayi bakimindan yetersizligi ve derslere alaninda uzman olmayanlarin girmesi adaylarin olumsuz olarak degerlendirdikleri diger hususlardir.
