dc.description.abstractEğitim-öğretim sürecinin niteliği için bütün unsurların nitelikliolması gerekir. Bu süreçte eğitiminin niteliğinde belirleyici olanetmenlerin başında öğretmenlerimiz gelmektedir. Nitelikli bir öğretmendeolması beklenen özellikler ve bu niteliklere sahip öğretmeniyetiştirebilmek günümüzün üzerinde en çok düşünülmesi gerekenkonularından biridir. Eğitim fakültelerinde görev yapan öğretimüyelerinin yetiştirdikleri öğretmenlerde olmasını bekledikleri analitiközelliklerin incelenmesi öğretmen yeterliliklerini daha iyi anlamamızda veeğitim fakültelerinin programlarının düzenlenmesinde yansıtıcı katkılarsağlayabileceğine inancıyla bu araştırmada iki farklı Eğitim Fakültesi’ndegörev yapan öğretim üyelerinin, nitelikli bir öğretmende bulunmasıgereken özelliklerle ilgili görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.Çalışmada nitel araştırma yoluyla veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileriaçık uçlu şu sorulardan oluşmaktadır: 1. Size göre iyi ve nitelikli biröğretmende bulunması gereken özellikler nelerdir? 2. Size göreöğretmenliği diğer mesleklerden farklı kılan özellikler nelerdir? AraştırmaGaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi ve Sinop Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültelerindegörev yapmakta olan 31 öğretim üyesi ile yürütülmüştür. Öğretimelemanlarının bu konuda belirtmek istediklerini kolaylıkla ifadeetmelerine imkân sağlanması amacıyla veriler, görüşme yoluyla açık uçlugörüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerden içerikanalizi yoluyla bulgulara ulaşılmıştır.Araştırma bulgularına görenitelikli bir öğretmende olması beklenen özellikler alan bilgisi, iletişim kurma, mesleki gelişim, model olma, öğrenciye göre öğretim, yöntemleriuygulama vb.) öğretmen özellikleri vurgulanmıştır. Öğretmenlikmesleğinin insan odaklı, manevi, toplumsal, yoğun çalışma ve yenilikgerektirme gibi özellikleri ön plana çıkmıştır.
dc.description.abstractAll elements must be qualified for the quality of the education-training process. The teachers come at the forefront of factors thatdetermine the quality of education in this process. The qualities expectedto be able to raise qualified teachers or to be qualified teachers are one ofthe most important things to think about today. In this research, I aimto examine the opinions of some faculty members of Gaziosmanpasa andSinop universities about the skills that a qualified teacher must have.The study employs survey methods. The study were collected throughqualitative research.The research datas contain the following open-endedquestions: 1. What are the skills that you want to see in a good andqualified teacher? 2. What do you think the the differentiatingcharacteristics are that make profession of teaching different from fromother professions? The research is carried out with 31 faculty memberswho teach at faculties of education of Gaziosmanpaşa and Sinopuniversities. The research data were collected by the researchers throughpreliminary interviews with those faculty members by presenting themall necessary explanations beforehand. In order to enable the facultymembers easily express what they would like to express in this matter,the data were collected by interviewing them using an open-endedinterview form. The creation of the data collection tool has benefited fromthe existing literature and specialists’ opinions. A total of three specialists(two from Education Programs and Teaching, and one from EducationManagement Department) were interviewed and pre-trial practice wascarried out with five faculty members. After some revisions have beenmade in the preliminary results, it has been given its final form. The datawere collected from the faculty members who voluntarily agreed toparticipate in the survey. In the analysis of the data, a descriptive contentanalysis method was used. According to the findings of the research, asthe qualifications of a teacher are emphasized, , communicating,professional development, modeling, teaching according to the students,applying the methods, etc.). They pointed out the characteristics of theteaching profession such as human-oriented, spiritual, social, intensivestudy and innovation.
