dc.description.abstractIn addition to his knowledge in the fields of mathematics and philosophy, as a result of his education, experience and success in the science of medicine, Emir Çelebi, who served as chief physician first in the Qalavun Hospital in Cairo and then in the Ottoman Empire for about 16 years, has demonstrated his experience and knowledge in the science of medicine with his works. There are available two works on medicine, Enmuzaj al-Tibb and Netijet al-Tibb. Enmuzaj al-Tibb was written in 1034/1625 and Netijet al-Tibb in 1036/1627. Netijet al-Tibb, which includes 129 diseases in total, is a more practical version of the author’s previous work Enmuzaj al-Tibb. This work, which consists of a preamble, a main part consisting of 9 columns drawn with a ruler, and a poem dated by Cevri Ibrahim Çelebi to the writing or the printing of the work, is a practical handbook for physicians. It is focused in the first column of the work, the names and descriptions of the diseases, in the second, the natural characteristics that point to their causes, in the third, the way the patient’s pulse beats, in the fourth, the colour of his urine, in the fifth, which foods should be eaten during the illness, in the sixth, the medicines to be used, in the seventh, whether it is necessary to take blood, in the eighth, what the patient should avoid, and in the ninth, information about the oils to be applied to the patient. This study, which deals with Emîr Çelebi’s Netijet al-Tibb, basically consists of 3 parts. It is given information about Emîr Çelebi’s life and works in the first chapter. In the second chapter, information is given about the writing date, content and copies of Netijat al-Tibb. In the third part, the transcribed text of the work is given based on the oldest dated copy.
dc.description.abstractMatematik ve hikmet ilimlerine vukûfiyetinin yani sira tip ilminde elde ettigi tahsil, deneyim ve basari sonucu öncelikle Kahire’deki Kalavun Dârüssifâsi’nda, ardindan Osmanli Devleti’nde yaklasik 16 yil hekimbasi olarak görev yapan Emîr Çelebi, tip ilmindeki tecrübe ve birikimini yazdigi eserlerle göstermistir. Müellifin Enmûzecü’t-Tibb ve Netîcetü’t-Tibb olmak üzere konuyla ilgili iki eseri bugün elimizde mevcuttur. Bunlardan Enmûzecü’t-Tibb 1034/1625 yilinda Netîcetü’t-Tibb ise 1036/1627’de yazilmistir. Madde basi olarak toplam 129 hastaliga yer veren Netîcetü’t-Tibb, müellifin daha önce yazdigi Enmûzecü’t-Tibb adli eserindeki hususlarin daha pratik bir hâle getirilmis hâlidir. Dîbâce, cetvelle çizilmis 9 sütundan olusan ana kisim ve Cevrî Ibrâhim Çelebi tarafindan eserin yazilisina veya istinsahina tarih düsülen bir siirden mütesekkil bu eser, hekimler için pratik bir el kitabidir. Eserin birinci sütununda hastaliklarin ad ve tarifleri, ikincisinde sebeplerine isaret eden tabiat özellikleri, üçüncüsünde hastanin nabzinin atma sekli, dördüncüsünde idrarinin rengi, besincisinde hastalik süresince hangi gidalarin yenmesi gerektigi, altincisinda kullanilacak ilaçlar, yedincisinde kan almak gerekip gerekmedigi, sekizincisinde hastanin nelerden sakinmasi gerektigi ve dokuzuncusunda hastaya sürülecek yaglar üzerinde durulmustur. Emîr Çelebi’nin Netîcetü’t-Tibb adli eserini ele alan bu çalisma, temelde üç bölümden olusmaktadir. Birinci bölümde Emîr Çelebi’nin hayati ve eserleri hakkinda bilgi verilmistir. Ikinci bölümde çalismamizin konusunu teskil eden Netîcetü’t-Tibb’in yazilis tarihi, muhtevasi ve nüshalari ele alinmistir. Üçüncü bölümde ise en eski tarihli nüsha esas alinarak eserin transkripsiyonlu metnine yer verilmistir.
