| dc.description.abstract | Kategorik değişkenler sosyal ve davranışsal bilimlerde yaygın olmasına rağmen, kullanımları sadece bu alanlarla sınırlı değildir. Bu tür değişkenler genellikle çapraz tablolar şeklinde düzenlenmektedir. İki-boyutlu çapraz tablolar, iki kategorik değişkenin bağımsız olup olmadığına odaklanmaktadır. İkiden fazla kategorik değişkenin olduğu durumlarda, iki ya da daha fazla kategorik değişken arasındaki ilişki yapısını inceleyen log-lineer modeller kullanılabilir. Log-lineer modellerde, tam bağımsızlık modeli, kısmi bağımsızlık modeli, koşullu bağımsızlık modeli, homojen ilişki modeli ve doymuş model gibi çeşitli modellerin tahmin edilmesi ile en uygun model belirlenmektedir. Temel amaç, değişkenler arasındaki bazı bağımsızlık tiplerini ve değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada, log-lineer modeller üç-boyutlu çapraz tabloların analizinde kullanılmış, uygun modelin seçilmesi aşaması incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, uygulamada, TÜİK (Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu) tarafından yapılan "Türkiye'de Kadına Yönelik Aile İçi Şiddet Araştırması" (2008) mikro verisi kullanılarak üç-boyutlu çapraz tablolar oluşturulmuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Although categorical variables are common in the social and behavioral sciences, usage of these are not restricted to those areas. These kind of variables generally are represent by contingency tables. Two-way contingency tables emphasise whether the two categorical variables are independent. If there are more than two categorical variables, log-lineer models which study the relationships among two or more categorical variables can be used. In the log-linear models, the most appropriate model is determined by the fit of the various models, such as the model of full independence, partial independence model, conditional independence model, homogeneous relationship model and saturated models. The main purpose is to determine some types of independence between variables and the relationship among variables. In this study, log-linear models is used to analyze three-way contingency tables and the selection of the appropriate model is examined. Fort this purpose, TSI- (Turkish Statistical Instutite) "The Research on Domestic Violence against Women in Turkey" 2008 raw data set is used to construct three-way contingency tables. | |
