Investigation of Procrastination Behaviour in Hotel Businesses in Terms of Demographic Variables: The Case of Alanya

dc.description.abstractIn this study, it was aimed to determine the organizational procrastination behaviour levels of hotel business employees and the differences of this behaviour according to various variables Within the scope of the study, a questionnaire was obtained from 419 people working in five-star hotels in Alanya using the convenience sampling method between August – October 2019. Independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to determine the differences in the organizational procrastination behaviours of the participants according to some variables. In the light of the findings, it has been determined that the employees generally do not exhibit a very high degradation behaviour. It has been determined that there is a statistically significant difference in the procrastination behaviours of the participants according to their gender, tourism education status, seasonal or full year status of their businesses, educational status, age, salary, duties, departments and experiences.
dc.description.abstractBu çalismada otel isletmesi çalisanlarinin örgütsel erteleme davranisi düzeyleri ve bu davranisin çesitli degiskenlere göre farkliliklarinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmistir. Çalisma kapsaminda Alanya’daki bes yildizli otellerde çalisan 419 kisiden 2019 yili Agustos – Ekim aylari arasinda kolayda örneklem yöntemiyle anket elde edilmistir. Is görenlerin örgütsel erteleme davranislarinin bazi degiskenlere göre farkliliklarini belirleyebilmek için, bagimsiz örneklemler için t testinden ve tek yönlü varyans analizinden (ANOVA) yararlanilmistir. Bulgular isiginda genel olarak çalisanlarin çok yüksek bir erteme davranisi sergilemedikleri tespit edilmistir. Katilimcilarin erteleme davranislarinda, cinsiyetleri, turizm egitimi alma durumlari, isletmelerinin sezonluk veya tüm yil olma durumlari, ögrenim durumlari, yaslari, maaslari, görevleri, departmanlari ve deneyimlerine göre istatistiki olarak anlamli farklilastigi tespit edilmistir.
