| dc.description.abstract | Gazetelerdeki konuların gerçek hayata benzerlikleri öğrencilerin konulara olan ilgisini arttırarak, öğrenmenin daha etkili gerçekleşmesine yardımcı olacaktır. Fen ve teknoloji dersi amaçlarının günlük yaşamla ilişki kurmaya yönelik olması ve gazetelerin bu dersin kazanımlarına yönelik verileri içermesi, bu dersin gazete kullanımı ile uygunluğunu göstermektedir. Bu doğrultuda bu araştırmanın amacı, 5. sınıf fen ve teknoloji dersinde gazetelerden faydalanarak hazırlanan ders etkinliklerinin, öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına etkisini tespit etmektir. Araştırma 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kocaeli İli İzmit İlçesindeki bir ilköğretim okuluna devam eden, 100 beşinci sınıf öğrencisi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öntest-sontest deney-kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları, gazetelerden faydalanılarak hazırlanan ders etkinlikleri ile desteklenen fen ve teknoloji derslerinin, öğrencilerin akademik başarısı üzerine anlamlı etkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Similarities between the issues in newspapers and daily life would help students to have more effective learning by improving their interests to these issues. Purposes of science and technology course which relate to daily life and newspapers which contain data for this course, indicates the suitability of using newspapers in this course. In accordance, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using the activities based on newspapers in 5th grade science and technology course. Pre-test and post-test experiment-control group quasi-experimental design was used in this study. Data of this study was gathered with the academic achievement test which developed by researchers. Results of the study indicates that there is a significant effect of science and technology courses which are supported with activities based on newspapers, on students academic achievement. | |
