Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim 4 ve 5. sınıf öğretmenlerinin fen ve teknoloji dersinde kullandıkları alternatif ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemlerine ilişkin görüşlerini almaktır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Kocaeli İli Merkez İlçesi’nde bulunan üç ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, 26 sınıf öğretmeni ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Nitel boyutlu veriler betimsel analize tabi tutularak belirli kategoriler altında sayısallaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına bakıldığında, öğretmenlerin ilköğretim fen ve teknoloji dersi öğretim programını benimsedikleri, ancak programı yeterince tanımamaları nedeniyle uygulamada bazı problemler yaşadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda sınıf öğretmenleri yaşadıkları sorunlara ilişkin sınıf mevcudunun azaltılması, yeterli kaynağın (kitap, internet vb.) sağlanması ve hizmet içi eğitimin verilmesi şeklinde önerilerde bulunmuşlardır. The purpose of this study is to elicit the 4 and 5of primary school teachers’ opinions about alternative assessment methods used in science and technology lessons. The present study employs qualitative research method. The sampling of the study consists of the teachers working in three elementary schools in Kocaeli central district selected among the universe through purposeful sampling method. The data were collected through semistructured interviews conducted with 26 classroom teachers where openended questions were used. Qualitative data were subjected to descriptive analysis and then classified under some certain categories. When the results teachers adopted the teaching program but some problems emerged in the implementation of the program as they were not familiar enough with the program. In the end, teachers have been suggested for solutions these problems to reduce class size, adequate resources and provide in-service training.
