Öğe Classroom Management Research in Preschool Period in Turkey: An Examination of Completed Theses Between 2010-2021(Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli Üniversitesi, 2023) Ogelman, Hülya Gülay; Ok, Beyzanur; Koyutürk Koçer, Nazife; Yesil, IremIn this study, the aim is to examine master's and doctoral theses on classroom management in the preschool period conducted in Turkey between 2010 and 2021. In the data collection process, a search was conducted using five keyword groups: classroom management, classroom management in preschool, classroom management in preschool period, classroom management in preschool period, and classroom management in kindergarten, within the theses available at the The Council of Higher Education (CoHE) National Thesis Center. The research group consists of 31 theses on classroom management in the preschool period. According to the research findings, the first master's thesis within the specified date range is from 2012, and the first doctoral thesis is from 2013. It was determined that there are more master's theses in terms of quantity compared to doctoral theses. The majority of the theses were conducted using quantitative research methods, and it was found that the theses employing qualitative and mixed methods were relatively fewer. In most doctoral theses, the impact of educational programs was examined, while in master's theses, various topics such as coping with unwanted behaviors, self-efficacy, professional burnout, educational program implementation, instructional arrangement, and organizational climate were studied. While demographic information analyses were extensively addressed in the theses, there was diversity in the topic headings. Looking at the results related to demographic variables, it can be seen that demographic variables related to teachers and children were considered, and both significant and non-significant results were obtained in some variables. In line with the findings of the theses, it was determined that various personal characteristics of teachers could affect classroom management.
