Öğe Checklist of Annelida from the coasts of Turkey(2014) Çinar, Melih Ertan; Dağli, Ertan; Kurt, Güley ŞahinThe compilation of papers on marine annelids along the coasts of Turkey together with new records of species (24 species) presented in this study yielded a total of 721 species belonging to 2 classes (Polychaeta and Clitellata), 60 families, and 352 genera. Polychaeta were represented by 705 species, Oligochaeta by 13 species, and Hirudinea by 3 species. Syllidae (119 species) and Serpulidae (56 species) were the species-rich polychaete families. Te majority of annelid species were benthic (691 species), 14 species were pelagic, and 3 species (leeches) were parasitic. Tirteen polychaete species were excluded from the species inventory. Te Aegean Sea had the highest number of species (559 species), followed by the Levantine Sea (459 species) and the Sea of Marmara (398 species). Te hot spot areas for the species diversity were İzmir Bay, Mersin Bay, the southwest part of the Sea of Marmara, and Sinop Peninsula, where intense scientifc eforts have been carried out. A total of 75 alien polychaete species were reported from the regions, 22 of which were classifed as invasive species. Te annelid species were generally encountered in sof substrata of the shallow-water benthic environments, whereas only 9 species were reported from depths deeper than 600 m.Öğe First Record of Ophelia bicornisSavigny in Lamarck, 1818 (Polychaeta: Opheliidae) from the Turkish Coast of the Black Sea (Sinop Peninsula) with EcologicalFeatures(2015) Dağli, Ertan; Kurt, Güley Şahin; Sezgin, Murat; Cengiz, ZeynepBu makale Sinop Yarımadası'nda (Karadeniz, Türkiye) Ağustos 2009 ve Temmuz 2010 tarihleri arasında 4 istasyondan aylık olarak toplanan Ophelia bicornis Savigny in Lamarck, 1818'in ekolojik ve morfometrik özellikleri hakkındadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı O. bicornis'i Karadeniz'in Türkiye kıyılarından ilk kez rapor etmek ve Sinop Yarımadası kıyılarındaki populasyon yoğunluğunu tespit etmektir. O. bicornis biyokütlesi ve birey sayısı ile kaba kum tane boyu yüzdesi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştirÖğe Spatial and temporal variations of soft bottom polychaetes of Sinop Peninsula(southern Black Sea) with new records(2017) Kurt, Güley Şahin; Dağli, Ertan; Sezgin, MuratThe soft bottom polychaete community was examined seasonally at eight stations between August 2009 and July 2010. A total of 76 species belonging to 27 families were identified in the Sinop Peninsula (southern Black Sea), of which 23 species are new records for the Black Sea fauna and 7 species for the Black Sea coast of Turkey. Syllidae was the best represented family in the research area and contributed 15.78% of the total fauna. The most dominant and frequent species were Micronephthys stammeri and Protodorvillea kefersteini in the study area. Community parameters varied significantly among stations and seasons; number of species ranged from 1 to 21 per 400 cm2, density from 25 to 16,700 ind. m2, ShannonWiener diversity index value from 0 to 3.4, and Pielou evenness index value from 0 to 0.98. The highest population density was recorded at station C1 in winter, where P. kefersteini was the most dominant species (15,125 ind. m2). The correlation between polychaete community and environmental variables was strongly high (r 0.91) according to canonical correlation analysis. The main factors affecting the polychaete assemblages were depth and sediment texture.
