Öğe EFFECT OF ZINC SULPHATE ON THE LEVELS OF PLASMA PARAOXONASE ACTIVITY, TOTAL OXIDANT AND HIGH DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN OF TRANSCAUCASIAN BARB (Capoeta capoeta [Guldenstaedt, 1773])(Parlar Scientific Publications (P S P), 2015) Deveci, Haci Ahmet; Kaya, Inan; Yilmaz, Muhittin; Karapehlivan, MahmutZinc and its compounds have different effects in chemical or toxicological terms on many living species in the aquatic areas. In this study, total plasma paraoxonase activity (PON1), total oxidant (TOS) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) levels in response to different doses of zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) in Capoeta capoeta were investigated. The fishes were kept in tanks for 15 days for adaptation. Three groups of fish (control, 1st and 2nd), each containing nine fishes, were placed in separate tanks containing no 5 and 10 mg/L ZnSO4, respectively for 10 days. At the end of the study, blood samples were taken, and plasma PON1, TOS and HDL levels were analyzed. An increase in plasma TOS level was found along with increasing ZnSO4 amounts compared to the control group, and a decrease in PON1 and HDL levels was observed. Twenty four Capoeta capoeta are chosen within a weight range of 200 to 240 grams and they are equally divided into 3 groups, namely Groups I, II, III. The fish placed in Group I are received aquatic environment while Groups II and III were kept in aquatic environments with a pH value of 7.4 in tanks to which 0,01 and 0,02 mg/L glyphosate (N-phosphonomethyl glycine 480 mg/L), respectively. It was found that groups II and III had significantly lower serum plasma PON1, HDL and TAS levels than the control group (Group I). On the other hand, serum TOS levels were found significantly elevated in Groups II and III, in comparison to the control group. In this work, significant changes were found in the serum paraoxonase activity, HDL, TAS and TOS levels of fishes living in environments added 0.01 and 0.02 mg/L glyphosate.Öğe Tebukonazol (Fungisit) Uygulanan Cyprinus carpio (L. 1758)’da Serum Total Antioksidan, Oksidan ve Sialik Asit Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi.(Journal of FisheriesSciences.com, 2014) Kaya, İnan; Yılmaz, Muhitdin; Koç, Evren; Deveci, Haci Ahmet; Ersan, Yusuf; Karapehlivan, MustafaBu çalışmada, bir fungusit olarak kullanılan tebukonazol’ün Cyprinus carpio (L., 1758)’da se-rum total antioksidan (TAS), oksidan (TOS) ve sialik asit (TSA) düzeyleri üzerine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Balıkların 15 gün süre ile laboratuar ortamına adaptasyonları sağlan-dıktan sonra, her grupta 6 adet balık bulunan 3 grup oluşturuldu. Grup I’de bulunan balıklar normal su ortamında, grup II ve III ise sırasıyla 2 ve 3 mg/L tebukonazol eklenen tanklarda 14 gün süre ile bekletildi. Balıklardan kan örnekleri alındı ve serumları ayrıldı. Daha sonra, TAS, TOS ve TSA düzeyleri analiz edildi. Serum TAS düzeylerinin kontrol grubuna kıyasla tebuko-nazol uygulanan gruplarda azalırken, TOS ve TSA bakımından artışlar olduğu saptandı. Sonuç olarak, tebukonazol uygulamalarının Cyprinus carpio’nun serum TAS, TOS ve TSA düzeyleri üzerinde önemli değişiklikler meydana getirdiği tespit edildi.
