    The Role of Locus of Control, Empathy, and Stereotypes on Prejudice Toward Crime Victims: A Turkish Sample

    This study investigates the effects of locus control, empathy, and stereotypes on prejudice toward crime victims. A correlational survey model was employed to examine potential relationships between variables. The sample consisted of 937 Turkish participants. To collect data, the Perceptions and Awareness Toward Victims Scale (PAVS), Locus of Control Scale, and Toronto Empathy Questionnaire were used. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to explore the impact of independent variables on the dependent variable. The findings revealed that empathy had the greatest influence on prejudice toward victims, followed by stereotypes toward victims, internal control, and external control.
