As the effects of preschool education on the development of children are seen, preschool education is becoming more important all over the world. The concept of metaphor is one of the most effective ways of expressing feelings and thoughts. The narration is enriched by using metaphors. With the use of metaphors, abstract concepts and concrete concepts that are difficult to understand can be easily expressed by being inspired by nature or other places as well as using analogies and references. Culture is one of the factors that facilitate the coexistence of society. The preservation and intergenerational transmission of culture and cultural heritage have great importance. It is important to address these issues in pre-school education in terms of understanding cultural heritage values and protecting the concepts of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. In this study, metaphor analysis method is used to determine the perceptions of preschool education teaching undergraduate students regarding the concept of cultural heritage and their approaches. The study is aimed to see what kind of metaphors are used/can be used on the concept of cultural heritage.
