Öğe Crustacean fauna of a mussel culti vated raft system in the Black Sea(Arthropods, 2013) Sezgin, Murat; Çil, Eylem AydemirThe aim of the current study was to make a faunistic analysis of the crustaceans associated with cultivated mussels grown on ropes. Mussel samples from 30 cm ropes were collected from rope-grown mussel beds by hand. The crustacean fauna associated with mussel population were quantified. The density of crustacean fauna associated with mussels was significantly greater within rope-grown mussel assemblages than on other biotopes around.Öğe Gönen Çayi’nin (Balikesir) Chironomidae (Diptera-Insecta) Faunasi(Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, 2018) Çil, Eylem AydemirGönenÇayinin Chironomidae faunasi’nin saptanmasi amaciyla Eylül 2010 ve Temmuz 2012tarihleri arasinda mevsimsel olarak gerçeklestirilen 8 arazi çalismasindatoplam 16 istasyon (4 durgunsu, 12 akarsu) seçilmistir. Örneklemeçalismalarinda durgun sular da 15x15 cm boyutundaki Ekman-Birge grab, akarsubentik örneklemelerinde 180 µm göz açikligina sahip el kepçeleri (kicknet)kullanilmistir. Örnekler %4’lük formalin çözeltisi ile tespit edildikten sonralaboratuvara getirilmis ve degerlendirilmistir.Çalisma sonucunda, Chironomidae familyasinin 5altfamilyasina (Tanypodinae, Prodiamesinae, Diamesinae, Orthocladiinae, Chironominae)ait 28 takson tespit edilmistir. Tespit edilen taksonlar çalisilan lokaliteiçin yeni kayittir.Öğe Seasonal Size Composition of Gelatinous Macrozooplankton in the Sinop Peninsula of Black Sea(2019) Birinci Özdemir, Zekiye; Çil, Eylem Aydemir; Gürbüzer, PınarIn this study, size compositions of Aurelia aurita (Linnaeus, 1758), Pleurobrachia pileus (O. F. Müller, 1776) and Mnemiopsis leidyi A. Agassiz, 1865 were presented seasonally between March 2015 and February 2016 at the Sinop Peninsula of Black Sea. Sampling was carried out monthly at the 6 stations by plankton net (50 cm diameter mouth opening, 500 µm mesh size for horizontal tows, 210 µm mesh size for vertical tows). Small sized individuals of A. aurita, M. leidyi and P. pileus were found dominant in summer. Bigger size individuals were observed for A. aurita in spring, M. leidyi in winter, and P. pileus in autumn. A. aurita ˂4 cm was determined as 57%, M. leidyi ˂2 cm was 58% and P. pileus ˂ 0.6 was determined as 67%. Maximum and minimum lengths were measured 28 cm and 0.5 cm for A. aurita, 2 cm and 0.2 cm for P. pileus, 9 cm and 0.2 cm for M. leidyi, respectively. The size distribution of A. aurita, M. leidyi and P. pileus showed significantly different (ANOVA, p˂0.05) between seasons.Öğe The Erfelek Stream and Ecological Importance(2017) Yardim, Öztekin; Erdem, Yakup; Bat, Levent; Çil, Eylem AydemirAlthough the Erfelek Stream is a small stream with a total length of 80 km and aflood discharge of 302.1 m3/sec, from its source to the place where it merges with the sea. It isecologically very important for its immediate environment in terms of the zonations created byit and the groups of living organisms it contains. The fact that it is the only stream that reachesthe sea by forming a delta between the Kızılırmak and Filyos Stream and that it reaches the seaby drawing meanders in the delta after different geological formations it passes throughstarting from an altitude of 1370 meters allows it to be a stream rich in biodiversity. Karagöl,which is connected with the sea, which is almost destroyed within the delta, and the Aksazwetlands, which are still continuing their existence increase the importance of the stream interms of both aquatic products and other groups of living organisms. In the fauna and flora ofthe Erfelek stream, the presence e few benthic invertebrate, fish, birds, mammals and plantspecies have been identified up to now.On this study, the importance of biodiversity and ecology of Erfelek Stream is aimed to berevealed as a result of present data and preliminary observations.
