This is the first analysis to use a newly developed inclusive dimuon trigger, expanding the scope of the CMS flavor physics program. The search uses D-0 mesons obtained from D*(+) -> D-0 pi(+) decays. No significant excess is observed. A limit on the branching fraction of B(D-0 -> mu(+)mu(-)) < 2.4 x 10(-9) at 95% confidence level is set. This is the most stringent upper limit set on any flavor changing neutral current decay in the charm sector.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess#BAŞV!Search for the Rare Decay D0 → μ+ μ- in Proton-Proton Collisions at √s=13.6 TeVArticle1351510.1103/zc76-rgcp411381142-s2.0-105019999785Q1WOS:001638933400001Q10000-0002-6607-33630000-0002-8087-31990000-0001-5061-70310000-0002-2633-46960000-0002-8298-75600000-0003-4860-32330000-0001-9570-9255
