Having received a good education, he served in various madrasas of his time and gained renown both for his commentaries and poetry. One of his most significant works is a commentary on Ibnu'n-Nahvi's famous Qasicla aLMunfarija. Numerous manuscript copies of this commentary exist in manuscript libraries, and it has been published as a master's thesis. One of these manuscripts housed in the Suleymaniye Library (Ayasofya 2077/6) contains Qasicla al-Munfarija bound together with works by Abdullah Bosnevi. Hence, in the secondary literature the commentary on Qasicla al-Munfarija has been mistakenly attributed to Abdullah Bosnevi.
