There are three versions of the work: opuscule, fair-sized and comprehensive. The fair-sized and comprehensive versions were translated into Turkish by various translators in different centuries. In this study, the translations of Hayât al-Haywân into Turkish and the identified copies of these translations are introduced. This study consists of an introduction, a section giving brief information about Demîrî and his Hayât al-Haywân, and two main sections introducing the translations. The first chapter focuses on the direct translations of Hayât al-Haywân.In this section, nine translations are identified and introduced, five of them belonging to the fair-sized version and four to the comprehensive version. The second part deals with the Turkish translations that were written on the shortenings of Hayât al-Haywân. Only one translation was identified in this section. The study first gives information about the translators of the translations, then focuses on the translations and finally introduces the identified copies of these translations. Recent translations are discussed in general terms. In this section, it is clarified that the names of the translators of these translations, the publishing houses where they were published, the years of their publication, and which version of the source text they are translations. © (2025).
